Compass Rose Air
Safety & Standards

Safety is the price of admission.

Every operator we quote is FAA-certified for charter operations under Part 135. Every aircraft we offer has been independently audited. Every pilot has been vetted. Safety is not a feature we sell — it is the floor below which we will not operate.

Our Standards

Four standards we will not bend.

FAA Part 135
Certified Brokerage

Charter brokerage under FAA Part 135 standards. Every operator we quote is FAA-certified for charter operations.

Wyvern
Registered Operator

We partner only with Wyvern-registered operators — the industry's leading safety audit standard.

ARG/US
Gold Rating or Better

Our operators meet ARG/US Gold rating or higher. Independently audited.

IS-BAO
Stage 2 or Better

International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations. Stage 2 or better.

Compass Rose Air is a charter brokerage, not an air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft. All flights are operated by FAA-certificated Part 135 air carriers that exercise full operational control.

NESW
The Process

How we vet every operator.

Five checks before an aircraft is offered to you. No exceptions, no shortcuts, no operator that fails any of them.

01

FAA Certification Check

We verify the operator holds an active FAA Air Carrier Certificate authorizing charter operations under Part 135. No certificate, no quote. Every time.

02

Wyvern Lookup

Each operator is checked against the Wyvern registry. We partner with Wyvern-registered operators because Wyvern is the most thorough independent safety audit in business aviation.

03

ARG/US Rating Review

ARG/US rates operators on a five-tier scale. We require Gold or higher — meaning the operator has passed ARG/US's on-site safety audit and meets documented training and maintenance standards.

04

Insurance Verification

$300M combined single-limit liability is our minimum for any operator we quote. We confirm coverage is active and current before the aircraft is offered to you.

05

Pilot History Review

For every aircraft we quote, we review the pilot in command's flight hours, type ratings, and recent experience in the specific aircraft being offered. Minimums exceed FAA requirements.

Questions

Want details on a specific operator before you fly?

Ask us directly
Pre-Flight Disclosure

Nothing is hidden before you fly.

We will tell you the tail number, the operator, the pilot in command's hours, and the last maintenance check before you fly.

We don't bury these details in fine print. You see them, in writing, on every quote. If an operator will not disclose any of the four, we will not offer you that aircraft.

Liability Coverage
$300M combined single-limit.

$300M combined single-limit liability is our minimum for any operator we quote. Every aircraft offered to a Compass Rose Air client is covered to that floor or higher. Verified before you book.

Carbon Offset Program

We offset 50% of every flight.

Transparent about emissions, transparent about everything. See the math, the verified projects, and calculate your own flight's footprint.
